FYI: bear spray ...

A friend just had her article published, may be of interest to some bc goers:

I'm sold. Not sure if I'll carry it in the Alpine Lakes, but if I ever go far backcountry in Montana I'll have a canister on my hip.

Thanks for posting this. A good article. The first time I've seen statistics concerning bearspray.

Save the Bears.

I'm going surfing in AK next week and will add this to our arsenal. The locals tend to carry high powered rifles but it looks like I can save weight and space with a can of this stuff.
