Its not really a trip report with snow and edges but still summer turns so I couldn't resist.

3 laps for about 600vf & 2 1/4 miles on Wallingford Ave.

We go late to minimize traffic and keep careful watch for cars, buses and bikes. They all seem to drive by with big smiles to match ours.

I've not given up on snowy turns tho. I just hit the 24 months milestone on ptarmigan ridge a couple weeks back.

Nah, it's in Random Tracks already -- perfect spot for it. Nice post Chuck -- is that Wallingford down toward Lake Union?

Doesn't count unless you make it all the way down to Wallingford Steps ;-)

If you take a right turn around 36th you can stop by the Pacific Inn for a vodka and tonic, then jump on the bus right there that takes you to the top of Wallingford. The timing is perfect as long as you don't have to wait too long for the drink. Be careful with this circuit!

It is Wallingford Ave. We start at 43rd and run down to 34th. That last 1/2 block to the top of the steps is shitty pavement. Learned that the hard way. For the run in the vid we stopped short at the 39th light cause it was red and last run. Usually we get the timing right and bomb the whole thing.
Pac Inn is a great a joint with an amazing jukebox but for these nights we usually meet and get warmed up at Murphy's cause its on top of the hill.
I hit Fremont Ave too but its steeper and you have 2 or 3 lights to handle.

Its funny, all the people walking and drivers seem pretty cool and excited with us. We keep our heads up and either point in it the bike lane or pop into the left lane to let them pass. You have to watch out for the cops tho. We've had several occasions where they roll up super close behind you and wait for you to fall under their wheels or box you into the parked cars. We had one junior guy they almost killed. He had to run it out across the sidewalk. Other than the cops its a pretty fun, safe run.
