With the aid of a porter to help tote the gear I made it to the Muir snowfield but with not enough left in my tank to go higher, let alone ski it. There was a nice 4-500 foot run slightly below on the way back to the beer in the parking lot and I made my first turns of the new season. The snow was soft yet firm and I believe that even though it was 2 p.m., I got first tracks. Had a great trip.
