Hi All,
Will be heading to summit via Monitor Ridge on this date for first time. Curious to know what kind of hiking conditions. Expecting that this is a hike-only trip, but interested to know if there will be enough snow to justify bringing the splitboard.

Hey,
I think it might be pretty patchy this time of year. I did it once in early July and although there was plenty of snow it was very pumicey(?). However, if you are going anyway I would bring your stuff. There is an overlook a few miles from the trailhead where you should be able to see your intended route. Good luck!
P.S. you could always stash your board in the rocks somewhere

Hey, that's good advice. I wanted to give it a go, but I ended up NOT bringing my gear, as my trip was to summit by foot with two other friends both on foot. We just hiked to the summit and back.
It would have been a couple miles and some big scrambles to reach skiable terrain on the Swift or Dryer. Beautiful scenery and perfect weather anyway though
