Anything left in Southern Oregon? was created by revloren
First post here.  I'm also new to skiing Oregon.  Going up Shasta this week and afterwards, I'm interested in sniffing around north of the state line.  Will there be anything left by the last week in June?

From the map I'm thinking from S->N: McLoughlin, Pelican Butte, Crater Lake area.  Also interested in Bailey, Thielsen and Diamond Peak, but...? I'd even be convinced to head up to Bend for Sisters/Bachelor excursion, if that's the best option.

Any thoughts, recommendations, directions ? ;)

Check the recent trip reports.....there's some snow left in Crater Lake and the surrounding peaks. I imagine McLoughlin's NE face is still decent, but probably going fast. Bachelor and the Sisters have lots of snow still.....Bachelor is opening for lift skiing this weekend Fri/Sat/Sun in fact :)

Welcome to TAY.  Jill and I remember meeting you on Onion Valley to University Peak years with our Roadtrek camper. I skied on University Peak.   I am still working on an injury.

Check Amar site:          www.skimountaineer.com/Trips/Trips.html

The Bachelor site has plenty of snow but will run lifts on Friday thru Sunday $30. There is good terrain at Broken Top and South Sister.  Timberline at Mt. Hood is 3 hours north. You can ride a lift at $57 or tour.

You might also consider Diamond Peak. It usually holds snow pretty late and in a recent trip report it was looking pretty good in there.
