That would be the one. And perfect because that is me behind your left ear declaring Chute Fest 2012 a face paint free event.
Okay, back to the promotion of this awesome event and venue. All, go if you can!

Ha, I remember this one - I was right behind Ron dropping in from Dege. To give credit where it's due - Ron still climbed and skied like an animal later that day. Not to mention the margaritas
On the way out I slipped many feet on a steep sidehill, Darryl kindly came down to kick steps for me... Lost a board crampon in the slide
We also saw Zap in the parking lot, I think
Hope this year goes better for all!

Me? - driving both days.
No skiing or tailgating in the rain for this geezer :
It can't rain all weekend... can it? :'(
Hoping (hopeful thinking?) the Sunrise rain shadow effect might work it's magic for us.

Are y'all camping, or driving up both days? Which day are you settling on?

I wish I could do both days but I must choose just one - so which one would be recommended?

Weather wise, that's a real hard call for a mere geezer. I think I'd probably defer to the weather guru's.

Current GFS model has precip at Sunrise from ~9:30am-3pm Sat, then dry through the night. Next precip arrives Sunday about 11:30am. Weak rainshadow may give some protection through the afternoon. Dries out again after 9pm Sunday.

If models match reality, driest skiing may be Saturday evening? Pros call for isolated thunderboomers; watch out for Zap!
Good hunting! I'm waiting out the weekend rain at work, saving up for sunshine.
