Got some glide wax on my skins last tour. Anyone know how to remove it? The underlying glue is in good shape. Iron over a paper bag?

How much wax are we talking about? If it's just flakes here and there, try putting the skins in the freezer overnight then picking the wax off with a blade of some kind. Then remember to scrape more thoroughly in the future.

My skins have a poppurri of wax, dog fur and pine needles embedded in the glue. This makes it easier to pull them apart. "Rat-Tail" attachment system does a good job of keeping the skins working right even when the glue has minimal stickyness.

if its really a lot (how'd you do that?) then ironing over a paper bag could work, but you'll have to hit the temp just right to melt the wax but not heat the glue. I'd start cold and work my way up slowly...
although, having just reglued another pair of skins last month, why don't you just start over strip everything and reglue!
