Well done Stevens Pass

Well done Stevens Pass: The National Ski Areas Association (NSAA) honored Stevens Pass Mountain Resort with the 2012 Golden Eagle Award for Environmental Excellence. Stevens Pass took top environmental honors in the mid-sized resort category (200,000 to 500,000 skier visits) for its energy conservation and greenhouse gas (GHG)reduction efforts. An Oregon resort won the award in 1994 and is the only other PNW winner.

Heard they fired the GM and also are
doing away with the crucial transportation
service that allowed them to have the
great staff that we've come to love. This
new ownership thing coupled with the the
the loss of Chris and the potential loss
of a bunch of good employees has me
worried. So much less parking with employee
cars taking space. Thinking we might want
to get vocal with new owners to let them
know we will show them our middle fingers!
Any thoughts?

GHG? lol....when I went to school they called that CO2, food for the trees. Stevens Pass must hate trees?
But to be serious, does this award really benefit the skier /boarder experience? As far as new ownership, those type of changes always happen when a new boss moves in. When Booth Creek took over Snoqualmie they got rid of all employee housing and many of the private ski schools. Change happens....
