Heli at Crystal 14th

Anyone get the details of what happend yesterday? Hope everything turned out ok for that person.

A snow boarder ran a skier into some trees near the top of Lucky Shot.
Then he took off. Heard they found him.

Skier air lifted to Haborview. After shutting down the run
and landing at the scene  Ski patrol
asking for witnesses.

We were touring across the valley and trying to figure out what that search pattern/ heli route was all about.

It did not make sense from where we were.

Was the heli used to search for the protagonist?

The skier that went into the tree's was unresponsive and couldn't be moved.
The heli was brought into the location so they could stabilize the victim directly prior to transporting to Harborview. We also heard a rumor that they found the other party.

More info while on the mountain today.

They did find the responsible party. The injured skier started breathing on his own and gained consciousness just before the helicopter landed. Sounds like he'll be OK, but close call.

3 heli evacs in 4 days.

We heard, the guy that hit the yougun on thursday (requiring the heli evac of the injured child) has been banned from Crystal and all Boyne managed areas for life. Was his fourth collision this year and heard he was out of control even coming into the lift line that day.

With the speed on the morning groomers, my neck been getting a workout. Looking for other skiers, and looking out for others incoming.
