mt st helens road conditions

I just drove up to marblemont snow park.  Conditions on the last two miles of road are one track with about 4" - 6" of standing snow.  A really nice ranger stopped and asked if I had a way of letting skiers know tomorrow that parking and getting high centered are HUGE issues. 

Please park in rows of two or more.  Please carpool in a high clearance vehicle.  Carry chains and a shovel AND A WAY TO GET OUT if you get stuck.

About 20 trucks and trailers from the snowmobiling community were in the upper and lower lot today-parking will be a challenge.  So lets represent ourselves well tomorrow!

I was up there yesterday (the 8th) and the road is in much better shape than you describe. 2 very short sections with a little snow that barely scraped bottom of my loaded vw golf. I guess that's what a few days of really nice weather can do.
