Skiing around Issaquah? was created by BrianT
I'm moving to Issaquah and should have all my gear with me by end of April (assuming the movers don't lose anything).
Can anyone point me in some area's for some good touring that would have some blue maybe easy black runs in that area?
I've only done a tiny bit of BC skiing (Rainier in June) and in CO in April and want to learn and have some fun since I'd assume most of the resorts will be closed by then.
Any help would be appreicated.
Thanks a TON!

Also, if anyone has any good Mtn Biking trails, running trails, or just good hiking in the area let me know too!
I do plan on hitting up Muir snow field come May

Skiing = Snoqualmie pass
Biking = Duthie Mtn park and Tiger Mtn
Hiking = Tiger mtn, Middle fork and Cle elum until the cascade crest melts out.

Nope... Crystal will be open at the weekends after April 15th for their spring season... Last year they stayed open until July 17th.
Skiing at Crystal during the spring season and using it to access mellow sidecountry would be a good introduction for you.
It's about 1.5 hrs from Issasquak.

Thanks a ton! If anyone has any other spots throw them out there! Looking forward to building my skills and skiing with you folks once this move is done. Finally get some time to actually do some winter stuff, hard in TX to do that!

You might want to look into the 1 day back country classes with Pro Guiding. Learn how, get the lay of the land and meet some local skiers.
