Legendary Mt Hood skiier, Fred Noble became an ALS (Lou Gehrigs' disease) patient in December, 2011. He is leading an event to raise money for the ALS society of Oregon at Mt. Hood Meadows on April 14,2012.

Individuals or teams can register until April 6, 2012. The goal is to ski the most vertical in a day. Lift ticket, food, beer included in entry.

My interest arises from memories of seeing the inspirational photos of Fred in the Alpenstube at Meadows back then, and my sister also has ALS.
