First time I have ever seen this, granted I don't get out at this exact time of year too much. There was so much pin-wheeling and fresh wet heavy snow mobilized by the sun on Saturday afternoon (the 24th) that there were numerous mini-avalanches coming down onto the road between Longmire and Paradise. The stretch just above the Nisqually bridge where the road cuts up the steep hillside had the most notable instance. At one point I had to swerve the car to avoid getting pelted by snow cascading over some rocks! The tree bomb action was constant to either side of the road in the forested sections. The snow sucked big time on the Muir snowfield also but it was interesting getting up there at a new time of year for me.
