Lost ski - Stevens Pass backside

Lost a K2 Dark Side around 5080' on the backside yesterday on the Wayback, if anyone comes across it .

Talked to ski patrol too late about trying to track it down with a Recco. Anyone have any luck tracking a lost ski with a Recco?

The patrol has a recco finder.

On the main wayback to corona shot or someplace weird?

It'll probably pop up, worse comes to worse if it's visible from the lift we'll find it on on summer maintenance

it will show up in the next few days

How can you lose a darkside? Thought those things were so big they float on anything! You might get lucky with the sun tomorrow

I'm still puzzled as to how I lost it. I dug for about an hour and a half and then had my seven buddies come look for it too. Can't wait to find out where it ended up .

It also could have gone for a ride down hill. Almost had the same thing happen on Saturday. Spent about ten minutes digging when I assumed the ski would have been buried, then luckily someone shouted from below that they saw the ski about 150 feet down the mountain.
