Been awhile since I've checked in here and not sure if this is the right forum for this, so if not I'll gladly delete or move it, just let me know.
Anyway, wondering if anyone can throw me a bone as to where I might find the best conditions tomorrow & Wednesday? (Tuesday 02/14 & Wednesday 02/15).
Was up near Kendall meadows today and found nothing but an inch or two of new on breakable crust, chicken heads on breakable crust, or avy debris - even in the trees. Was an interesting day to say the least.
Want to get out the next two days, even if it's just a walk on a ridge somewhere but would like to find some skiable snow. I looked through the TRs but the conditions have changed considerably in the last couple of days so wondering if anyone has any good idea of where we might find something to make some turns in that won't be quite as much work as what we found today.
Looks like it's going to be colder tomorrow so thinking that might mean crust no matter what, but if there are some sheltered N-facing slopes without crust I'd sure like to find them, or maybe something S. facing will warm up enough to get soft?
Am willing to go South to Crystal or North to Stevens or anywhere in between. Thanks for any advice!
