Anthony Lakes Cat Skiing? was created by SeaTacExpat
Looks like I'm going to be visiting some family in Baker City this spring with a mixed group of family (i.e. not all BC skiers), and I saw that Anthony Lakes has a cat ski service going on weekends - has anyone here tried it?

Anthony Lakes is a real hoot for a day of skiing. Only one lift but great snow, reasonable lift ticket prices, and a helluvaview from the top of the lift. I've done some backcountry in that area, but not cat served. Based on my experience and what I've seen on Oregon Field Guide, should be a great time...
You could probably split the group pretty easily and have one group BC and another ride the lifts.

Hope that helps.

This was today from the top of the lift.  Not sure exactly where the cat skiing is relative to This photo but I think it is off to the right which is south facing.  I could be wrong.  Something to note about Anthony Lakes is that a parking pass is required.  I think we have used our nw forest pass but we forgot it this year.  They also have discounted lift tickets on Thursdays, and Shell Has them on 2 fer 1 on Fridays if you can find a participating station.
