Would like same beta. The telemetry confuses me. 3/10" of precip, yet the the pack total dropped by 6 inches. Would normally suspect freezing rain given that info but occasional looks at cams today didn't look anything like that. If that's just settling, that is a LOT of settling (more like 10" if you add today's snow on).

At Snoqualmie Pass there was a very short lived period of freezing rain sometime during Wed night or Thurs morning. But Thursday during the day it did nothing but dump dry snow.

There was a very thin and totally skiable crust that is well buried. Skiing yesterday was nice. But today, we'll see what happens.

Probably too late for anyone reading this today but there was plenty of pow all day. Double Diamond was good leading to Lower Diamond protected between the trees with deep pillowy gorge yourself in Dr.Seuss fantasy. Southern Cross had lots of good pockets, even last run at 3:05 was soft all the way down.

That forum is for TRs. This is an info request. There clearly weren't any TRs from Stevens yesterday, hence the inquiry in an area of the TAY forums which gets the most traffic.

I was up yesterday and it was superb. Got 3rd chair on 7th and didn't cross a single track until I hit the groomer from Hogs -> Tye. No rain... very cold temps at the base (15F) with some inversion-caused warming aloft (perhaps 30F at the top of Cowboy). Easterly winds weren't strong but were noticeable and thankfully kept it cool. Dumped snow all day on the backside. Best lines were down Aquarius Face cutting over to far skier's right of the trees in Borealis. No ice crust to be found on slopes under 30 degrees anywhere and none on leeward slopes under 40 degrees. Not as deep in the woods as I'd like it, plus the tree wells are terrifyingly massive so staying out in more open / smaller treed terrain is advised for conditions and safety reasons. It's very deep out there... pulled a friend from a tree well yesterday. Fortunately she'd gone in feet first but was still buried up to her neck.

Should still be goods lingering in the right places on Saturday. After that, you'll have to venture further out.
