Touring at Hyak- is it allowed on Fridays- at all?

I am thinking about touring at Hyak tomorrow (Fri. 1/6). Can anyone tell me if this is still allowed?

The Summit website says East (Hyak) is open only on weekends. So is it still possible for a guy to show up on a Friday morning and not be chased off?

Lifts and lodge are closed so you can tour Hyak on Friday's w/o problem. They usually only chase off the kids on sleds. BTW, it was snowing hard this AM at Hyak when I left for work at 7:30am.

I did learn that we need to not park in the very front area. That area is for residents/owners only and apparently their HOA dues pay for the maintenance of that lot. There are some signs. Also, a few weeks back I was turned away from skinning up Hyak (closed at the time) by a patroller type person becasue I had my dog Summit with me. The Nordic trails were open and he said "no-go" because of the dog. I informed him (politely) that I had no intention of going on the Nordic trails, but that did not sway his decision. OK, no problem. Hyak closed/Nordic open = no dog.

Excellent and thanks!

Yes, word is a fresh coating is being delivered through today and tonight. I hope to get on it and see if I still know how to make turns...

Fall C. B., thanks for your input. No dog in tow here, at least for this adventure.

FWIW, I live at Hyak and I hike on the hill all the time with my dog outside operating hrs. If you want to take your dog along without getting hassled by the man then park in the lot and walk up Snoqualmie Drive ( 3-way stop) and enter the ski area at that point where the forest service road normally crosses. If your dog drops a deuce on the trail just make sure you grab it or put it off trail. In 15 years I've only been hassled once.
