- The DVD, Steep, is available on Amazon for a buck. It's a history of steep skiing in N. America - and France. Before there was Couloir Magazine and Backcountry mag, Powder magazine featured the skiing that was taking place in Chamonix in the 80's. Guys like Patrick Vallencant, Anselme Baud, Jean-Marc Boivin and others were skiing things over 50 degrees. It is a well done movie, without all that music stuff. check it out
