just sharing something interesting I have never seen before, maybe some here have seen this? Like anything new I wonder how well it works? Maybe it works really great... but I will stick with Fritschi or Dynafit for touring.

Interesting - thanks for sharing.

Anyone here tried this? What are people's thoughts?

Cheers

Several TGR threads on this product, including these: MFD All Time Review

MFD Alltime AT Bidning (NOT the cliff notes version)

Look clunky to me. I'll stick with my Dynafits

It's not clear to me how this is different from the Alpine Trekker (about 10 years old) or the Secura-Fix (about 20 years old). It looks like maybe the alpine binding mounts on the touring plate rather than having the touring plate snap into the binding (as was done in the older designs). These things can be handy for people who don't tour much, but they always result in a super-heavy setup.

The benefit of this system, is to have a dependable binding for riders that go full throttle. Guys like Sage (and many others) who have a tendency to explode light touring setups.

why not just use trekkers then? if one's primary goal is to have a super strong setup for the downhill, i don't follow why you'd want a stamped metal touring frame that is bound to have some flex/slop in between your alpine bindings and ski. Just use a trekker for a clumsy touring setup and then you have a sturdy alpine binding interface for the downhill.

dynafits work fine for me, but i ski slow and my skis generally don't go flying through the air.
