If you're planning to be in the Methow Valley next week or just need an excuse to take a long weekend to enjoy the great early season Nordic conditions and sunshine, John Scurlock will be sharing a presentation as part of the Methow Conservancy's Holiday Social and First Tuesday series at the Twisp River Pub on Tuesday, December 6th.

John will also be unveiling his new book: Snow & Spire:  Flights to Winter in the North Cascade Range.  It promises to be a fun and memorable evening learning about John's work and seeing his amazing images from the North Cascades.

Admission is FREE, though donations in support of the Methow Conservancy's work in one of Washington's most in-tact ecosystems are always welcome.  John's new book will be available for purchase through Trails End Bookstore as well.  Learn more about the event and the work of the Methow Conservancy @ Methow Conservancy Monthly E-News

My reordered copy of John's book just showed up and I highly recommend it.

More pics of stunning snowy summits then one can digest in a single sitting without getting up and needing to ski or climb something.

Here's the publisher's promotional page for John Scurlock's Snow & Spire:

And here's a look inside the book:

I think of this book as today's counterpart to Tom Miller's North Cascades. Buy it now, and in a few decades people will be coveting your copy, just like Tom's book today.
