While I like them, I am also considering a second split set-up with hardboots

Admittedly, I don't really snowboard.

But they look like a decent high-cuff winter boot with a solid sole and might handle (?) crampons. I will defer to actual practitioners of the shuffling ascent and straight line bomber decent that is split boarding.
