That's an awesome and very inspiring traverse, but don't you think the helicopter start kinda detracts from the traverse aspect?  maybe i'm just being a purist   ???

Thanks for the link which rekindled a previous trip along the traverse.  A few years ago I was on a ski mountaineering trip with 3 other Mountaineers along a short segment of the traverse.  We had CMH provide a heli drop from Parsons to the Malloy Glacier Igloo.  We spent a couple days touring around the Igloo and met a group that was doing the Bugaboo Traverse. We then toured to the Conrad Kain Hut and spent a few more days touring in the region.  A spectacular setting for touring.

Yeah! Those lazy bastards probably used a car to get them from their house to the heli pad as well. What a sham!
