FWIW,
I've being skiing the tan, 175 watts for about 2 yrs now.
I'm 5'11'', 180, and moderately aggressive tele skier.
I love the set up. the shorter legnth is great and the ski is still heavy enough to power through the slop. they seem responsive enough....
My only critique is that they are a little heavy for a touring set up (mounted w/ BD01s)

If you can break a pole while you're at I might make it worth your while....

You guys should go out hard this year early and try to bust one, then sell me the spare for dirt cheap.

Just another idea, but if you're used to a fairly stiff alpine boot then it may be the boots. At your height/weight you may be over flexing the endorphins compared to a stiff alpine boot. If you've used those boots with other skis or have tried other boots with the kilowatts it's probably the skis.
As GerryH said, moving the mount +/- 2cm can make a world of difference on a ski! I wish there were better ways to try that out without drilling holes (i think blizzard figured this out).

I've got the tans and really like them. But, I'm 6'6" and 205. So it may be a size issue. They are stiff, especially in the center. And they don't initiate turns by themselves. You need to angulate and be the alpha dog.

Yup, I'm 6 ft 205 lb's on the same skis and bindings w/ Garmont Dynamite's 3 buckles. I love the ski, but you gotta show em who's the boss. They are definately not forgiving. The guy at Pro Ski said to me, "you're gonna turn those big-ass skis with those little boots?" I told him we shall see, and ever since I have had no complaints about my K-dubs. I'd say give em a chance!
