The Everett Mountaineers is gearing up again for its annual AIARE Level 1 avalanche course. Starting early December and finishing with a guaranteed sunny field trip in the Baker backcountry in January. Time to freshen up on the skills? Bring your touring buddies and join us.

I took the AIARE and Backcountry ski class in 2006 without any prior outdoor skills. Heck I didn't even ski then. But it changed my life. I met a group of life long friends with the same passion for the outdoors, learned so many new skills, and even skied a couple of summits! Everett AIARE/Backcountry ski class is the place to be. You'll learn a myriad of skills on being safe in the snow, peak new interests and ideas, and have some fun along the way. The jokes are for free. If you have already had avalanche training, you might know someone who would benefit from this program. It keeps me coming back year after year to help out, refresh what I've learned, and meet new people.

Took this course in 09 and enjoyed helping out in 10. Great curriculum and instruction. You will be glad you spent the time and money, gain new ski buds, confidence and skill.
