Casual overnight near Snoqualmie Pass?

I have a friend who has an appointment early AM at Snoqualmie Pass on Saturday. Can anyone advise a reasonable choice for a casual car camp or drop a sleeping bag in the vicinity for the one night?

Kachess Lake campground

Is the second closest campground to the pass on the eastside,  but it is far enough removed from the freeway that you don't have freeway noise -- during the warm part of the day there might still be some JetSki action on the lake -- but with cooler weather, I think that has slacked off.   Access from Exit 62.

On the westside -- Denny Creek campground is closest -- but is is sort of in the shadow of giant freeway span crossing Denny Creek -- access either from Exit 47 or Exit 52

follow the signs to Stampede Pass and take a right towards Lost Lake. good ol' forest service road camping out there for your inner dirtbag spirit.

Coming from west side, take exit 47, turn right then right again onto tinkham rd. Dispersed camping on South side of I-90. Some spots on the river. No Services - just pull-outs off tinkam road.
