GoPro supports software (or visa-versa) that facilitates 3D. Need 2 cameras, tho.. Software - and the PC running it, is a substantial component of 'making videos'.

Certainly -- and with 1080p video now fairly common -- an i7 based machine with 8gb of memory and decent video card is highly desirable -- so you don't spend to much time twiddling your thumbs while the machine processes the video.
