great pictures. i see they don't have any self arrest knots in their glacier rope. that seems pretty reckless to me but i guess men were cut from a different cloth back then.
i think leather chopper mitts with the ragg wool liners are the way to go if it's not raining, they don't blow up in 2 months like the OR gore tex.
