Fundraiser for Hurricane Ridge Winter Access Aug 6

THE Party to celebrate Hurricane Ridge seven day a week access will be Saturday August 6, 2011 at the R Bar located at 134 E. Front Street in downtown Port Angeles. Silent and live auction items, buffet and free beer and wine happens from 6-8 pm for $25 at the door. After 8pm admission is $10 with raffles, drink specials, live music, DJ's, special guests, and the premier of the ThinkThank movie Ransack Rebellion.

Also happening this weekend in PA are downhill mountain bike races at Dry Hill, and Ride the Hurricane bike ride to the top of Hurricane Ridge, so it should be a happening downtown.

Bump for this one. It is this weekend, Saturday, 6pm @ R-Bar.

The fundraiser was successful and the local community raised $75,000 to keep the road open 7 days a week again next winter. Thank you if you supported in any way.

Now, more importantly, in order to justify the commitment in the future we need people to go up there and enjoy it! Leave the snowmobile controversies behind, make the trek to the Peninsula and ski to your hearts content.
