How to keep old skis out of the landfill?

I've got some old skis I'd prefer not to cut up and throw in the trash. I tried giving them away on Craigslist, responding to an ad posted by someone who wants them for furniture, but he's apparently a flake and never replied.

So...any ideas on how to get these to someone who wants to make a fence, chair, ladder, sit-ski, dog house, etc. are appreciated.

I gave a shitpile of old skis to a guy that made chairs out of them. Can't imagine there are too many of those around. I think he was from Duvall or somewhere out there. Try him again.....?

Are any of the skis 210cm or longer if so I may be interested.

If any of it is pre 90's there is a WTB thread over in the Personal Yard Sale section of the site.

Keep in mind the different kinds of "Old Skis"

- Old skis that are wooden classics and are worth $ to hang in the lodge.

- Old skis that are cosmetically in good shape and make good furniture, lamps, ski racks etc. Worth nothing for the seller, delivered.

- "Old"skis that are well used and quite nicked up but hold memories for you and are "priceless" i.e. not worth anything.

It's good to be green and do your share but reason should rule.

Missed your chance. From the 2008 Flower & Garden show.

Isnt there a used-ski-fence on HWY 2 (on the way to stevens pass) and one on HWY 410 in Enumclaw just past MacDonnalds?
