Garibaldi skiable next weekend (July 16)?

Hi all,

Has anyone seen Garibaldi Peak in Canada recently or been up it? Where is the snowline? Is it worth trying to ski it at this time of year?

I've just read this TR and seen the pictures: www.turns-all-year.com/skiing_snowboardi...ex.php?topic=16931.0 and it looks awesome but that was June last year. Mind you, this year everything is postponed.

So, any wisdom? Thanks a lot!

I am guessing that the parking is above the concrete mid-station, but below the gate. Somewhere among the switchbacks. The road is 4WD and very rocky and steep in places. The Black Tusk snowmobile club has a web cam near treeline and it is showing about a meter or so of snow. www.btsc.ca/webcam.php There are still snowmobiles out, but usage is dropping off. If you have a 4WD truck that you want to throw my sled in back, I would take you out to the Park Boundary. It's just too much for my 4wd Camper and trailer... The peak would probably be guarded by a 'schrund by now. But that's not to say there would be good skiing on the glacier.

Thanks for the cam link! Thanks also for the offer of a ride but I'm going with a bunch of friends and I think we'll figure it out with the 4WD.
The bergschrund is of course a concern. 

edit: Apparently, I have reading comprehension issues. Sorry, Toby, I don't have a 4WD truck so can't take your sled up there. But thanks anyway!
