Route condition? Hood and Shasta was created by rlsg
Was wondering if anybody new how the conditions on Leothold's Coulior on Hood might be ( especially wondering if there is a big runnel down the dogleg near the bottom..).
Anybody know how the sun cup situtation on Shasta (anywhere, everywhere) is?
East side access I presume is still a few weeks out?
Am still interested in the standard avalanche gulch side though.
Thanks for any info..

I concur with the link. It snowed last Tuesday (10ish days ago) on the upper parts of Shasta and the riding was amazing last weekend on all aspects. Avy Gulch and Misery Hill were smooth. There was rockfall in Avy Gulch so be careful. Suncups were not too bad but the snow was mush somewhere around 9500 feet and below on the return.
The road to Brewer Creek was blocked at 5800 feet. It made for a long day but was worth it. The significant suncups started around 8000 to 8500 feet on the east side. The snow did not set up overnight below 8500 on last Sunday and riding out, it was pretty sticky below that.

I went up Leuthold a month ago now; the runnel was impressive then.
I can only imagine it's much worse now.
Singnificant sun cups reported on south aspects of hood.
