No one on Mt Adams? was created by hyakSS
So, I keep trolling to see when people start posting TRs about Adams. Since I still am not finding any, can you more experienced peeps let me in on what kind of conditions you look for and why no one seems to be skiing adams in its current condition?
Thanks. I am new to a lot of the bc stuff and am just trying to learn.

The reports are few because the fat and late snow pack means it's a long way to the top if you want to rock and roll .

Link above better-directed.

For me it's just as important that FSR #23 be open as it is how close you can drive to the TH. I freaking HATE having to drive around through Vancouver et al, especially on a weekend.

From:   USDA Mt Adams Climbing Conditions Report

[Updated: 06/14/2011]
The 8040 Road is open 3 miles past the Wicky Creek Shelter up to the Gotchen Creek Trailhead.  When parking do not block traffic.  Roads to the South Climb Trailhead will be slower to melt out this season due to unusually late winter like conditions.  Check back for updates.

The 23 Road between Randal and Trout Lake is closed due to snow.

That still leaves close to four miles of road to get to the summer trailhead -- and with the current weather conditions -- melt out has been slow.

Most likely skiers due to the fat snowpack are scoring elsewhere . While waiting for roads to melt out.
