* the snow keeps adding on, this spring! At least there's some sun a few days/ wk. I came up w/ a snow poem, as I was recently driving back from the central-Sierra.
May, '11
Snow, snow, go away - don't you know its mid-May.
Then the corn, can find its form, from the bright rays * RM

:)

Hey BTW, would you like to do Lassen on June 29 or 30? I'll be in Ashland and have planned 2-3 nights to head down.

- I'm going to work on my photos, as well, for you guys.
I appreciate the Lassen park offer. I just checked the snowpack at Lake Helen (17 ft.) I think you can make it to there, end of June. They then open, that last gate/ but it's not much further to the T. H. parking area. I usually start Lassen, after Mammoth closes (this yr. the 4th/ It should be sunny by then ! *

The LVNP website said the road has been open to 3/4 mile of the Devastated Area for two weeks.  Maybe the Lake Helen-NE face will be accessible by late June?
