I need a haircut but I've been putting it off until it warms up some. Jim Hill needs a haircut. It will be interesting to see if it gets it in the next couple of weeks. With the weak layer just 5' to 6' above the ground some of the big avalanches that occur could have ten foot crowns and clean things out pretty nicely. Jim Hill, though, is problematic. It is not all that steep for big naturals - though obviously they happen. I'd assume buried surface hoar is the culprit in most of these historic slides.
