Bad news :( Sorry to hear to hear about this. Any idea on what the terrain is like there?

Sorry to hear that news. condolences to family and friends.

I skied that slope perhaps 22 years ago. It's above the Lake Caroline area.  The slope is a broad, sweeping bowl - actually a couple of bowls if the SW slope is accurate. It wasn't real steep, but might reach around 35 degrees somewhere if I recall correctly.

3/7 Disregard the above terrain description as the Wenatchee paper article describes much more rugged terrain than the SW bowl.

One would think that the east side would be generally weaker and easier to trigger down to the February 14th layer.

My deepest regrets to the family.
We encountered the rescue/ recovery on Saturday at Bridge Creek. The group we spoke to indicated that the skiers had been in Doctor Creek.
The rescue effort looked to be enormous. Daniel must have been very loved.
