I haven't had that problem with the lower buckle but I haven't used them a lot yet.

The first day I skied them I thought the lean angle was going to bother me. Both times since then it's felt fine.

Would've skied them today but they don't seem like the right thing for a diet of groomers and bumps at Taos. I'll respond to this thread with any new relevant insights on my part.

They do just fine on groomers if that's your piste du jour. I've skied 68mm, 88mm, and 108mm waist skies and all perform well with the TLT5P, both on and off piste.
The only other observation I have to add is the lack of mass at times causes the ski rig to be deflected more easily by chicken heads, frozen blocks, etc where previously, with a heavier set up, it would blast through with no thought.

Plinko: what are the 108-waisted skis?

I'm sure they would perform well enough, but there's no way I'm using a boot this nice, expensive and lightweight riding lifts. I'm fairly confident I could destroy them in short order. I've destroyed heavier boots from Dynafit riding Alpy using smaller skis than I'm riding now. I intend to use these boots primarily in a certain context, not as my everyday boot.

Furthermore, I wouldn't want to use any Dynafit binding on the market to ski bumps at Taos. I'm much more confident in these Plums until they give me a reason not to be. They seem quite robust.

I'd be looking at these as a volcano corn/low-angle blower complement to my boat-anchor but good-skiing Factors, so no worries about zipper-lining bumps. Too bad T-P is out of my assumed size because they're on a pretty good sale there...
