Hyak ski patrol tryouts

The Hyak Ski Patrol is holding tryouts for new candidates at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 5th. 

Being a part of the Hyak Ski Patrol gives you the following benefits:
1) Skiing.  If you have had the chance to tour at Hyak over the past couple of years, you already know about the fun and varied terrain as well as proximity to Catherine and Silver peaks. 
2) Training.  In addition to medical (Outdoor Emergency Care) and toboggan, there are opportunities to get trained in avalanche, mountain travel and rescue, and skiing skills to name a few.  These skills will serve you in and out of bounds.
3) Pro deals.  NSP members get discounts from Dynastar, Rossignal, BCA, Ortovox and many other suppliers.

All these personal benefits aside, the biggest reason to join is for the opportunity to serve people while doing something you really enjoy.

Hyak is skiing really well. Have you been over yet?

i haven't been able to get over there to ski the lift yet. I have only skinned up hyak. I promise i will get over to hyak in the next few weeks and rip it up with you guys. maybe this weekend if i can find the time! see you soon- Jack
