Some feedback...
I'm looking at some telemetry pages on a mobile device and noticing that I can no longer resize the page using pinch gestures and such. Maybe I'll get used to this, but my first impression is that I prefer to see the whole page initially with the ability to resize it at will. YMMV

Three thumbs up for the new mobile site! Easy nav worked well on a Windows 7 phone. I second Lowell's remarks on making it resizeable. That or a scroll lock for the headers 'cause as you move down the numbers you kinda get lost on a phone screen.

I just recently released an Android based app onto the market that, for now, just takes the danger rose from the NWAC page and displays it onto your phone, depending on which ever zone you pick of course. This is just a simple app that I created this last week on my free time and would really enjoy some feedback or what you might want to see on this type of an application. My email should be posted all over the app or you can message me on here. If your idea sounds like a good one I could probably get it implemented in less than a week.
To find it either search spencerhutch or Northwest Avalanche Forecast. Right now it is free and there is only a small ad on one page, which of course if any money accumulates from that a large percentage will go to The Friends of NWAC. Thank you, and hope to hear some feedback!
It's snowing out there!!!

Its a net improvement but I do have some feedback.
1. My bookmarked forecast urls no longer work. There's a limited window between the time I get signal on the drive up to Baker and when we rush to the lifts or trail head. This past weekend that was spent downloading nothing useful. Maybe the url redirect table should be more detailed and handle top level page urls from the old site.
2. It seems excessive to download the avy forecasts for every locale, concatenated into a huge page. Especially given the limited network bandwidth most mobile devices are working with. I understand part of the mobile revamp was to get rid of the heavy graphic navigator but maybe there is a way to still get just a specific local avy report.
Overall, thanks for the great info NWAC team!

Glad you all like the new mobile site, and please keep the feedback coming. A couple of responses / issues we are working on...
The resizing issue? Hmm? I have no problem resizing it on a Droid. Not sure what to say about this, but we'll check it out.
Good idea on the scroll lock. We'll look into it.
Right now, www.nwac.us automatically redirects to the mobile site if you are on a phone. As a result, there is no way to view the full NWAC site on a mobile. We are working on a fix for this.
You should be able to bookmark specific forecasts or telemetry sites by going to m.nwac.us , navigating to the page you want and then bookmarking it. That worked for me.
Please be patient. Now that we got the mobile site up, we have other higher priority web site issues that need to take priority. We will get to these fixes as soon as possible, but it might not happen this season.
And finally...spencerhutch...nice work on the app and thanks for donating proceeds to NWAC. We appreciate it!
