Wasatch Tour Suggestions was created by Pete_H
We're down in SLC area for the week. Supposed to get 1' + on top of a sun / wind crust with high winds tonight / tomorrow.
I have a couple safe and protected tours in mind (pink pine trees / patsy marley) but can anyone offer any other suggestions for tours preferably in safer / treed terrain?
Thanks in advance for any help!

Silver fork is always a good bet. Aspen glades so the trees don't offer much protection but the terrain isn't that steep (if you are careful with route/line selection)! Park at the moonbeam lodge at solitude, go to the far end of the lot and follow the road around the bottom of the eagle chair past some cabins, then climb the east facing slopes to the ridge. I think the locals call this the "meadow chutes". Maybe not advisable in high/scary natural slide days but you should be Ok in considerable danger if you are comfortable managing risk through terrain selection (people do set off slides here and the steepest slopes do slide naturally, caveat emptor).

The meadow chutes can be a hazerdous place to ski in higher slide danger conditions; there are some tricky rollovers in there that have buried and killed a few people. The north side of BCC has the mellower terrain you are looking for. Try reynolds area to hunt for low angle aspen lines. You could ski out of grizzly gulch at the head of lcc with caution. Or you could just come up to powder mountain and I could give you a tour
I'll be in the cottonwoods on tuesday touring if you wana meet up. Good luck and be safe.
