Snoqualmie Pass Conditions

Curious to know actual avalanche danger at snoqualmie right now. 

NWAC shows mostly green, but news coverage of accident / lost skier references high avalanche danger hindering rescue efforts. 

Doesn't seem to match, but could be that location is under additional cornices, etc.

Any local expertise up there?

My understand is that warming of the cornices and steep terrain surrounding the approach and the site are the primary considerations at the moment. Freezing rain much of the day today, apparently.

I was up at Alpental last night, and it's impressive how much warming has/is going on. The creeks are out like it's May, and slumping and creeping is occuring.

Think spring thaw.
