Pertex vs. Goretex?

Curious what feedback folks have on Pertex jackets? I can see the breathability and waterproofing ratings on the OR website, curious about what folks who've owned these garments feel about them vs. Goretex in performance? Thanks

The one Pertex shell I've used was way, way less breathable than Paclite Goretex. It was warm and cut the wind well, but I'd get sweaty climbing with it even when it was really cold. It packs down well and I now use it as an emergency rain layer in my SAR gear, but it's a bit too "clammy" for regular use, for me. I run pretty warm though.
