The "Pinch and Roll" Method
Tired of trying to separate what seem to be inseparable skins during transitions in the backcountry. Especially when yo-yoing your favorite low angled glade during those high avalanche danger days. Being a split-boarder I'm always looking for ways to improve my transition times. Since valuable time is consumed when trying to peel apart the damn skins (especially with the 2010 glue formulation, the ones w/o the tape down the center), why not try to eliminate this step? Thus the "pinch and roll".

I like your creativity, but if the skins are wet when you roll it up, the glue will get less-adhesive. Also, anything on the skin plush will now be on your glue.
Keep hitting the hills though!
I like the glue on glue, even though it can be a bear to pull apart at times.
It just keeps the glue, like myself, more tacky.

The BD skins have a non-adhesive strip down the middle that makes makes ripping lots easier. It also helps for de-skinning without ski removal for those who like that. I ran some electrical tape down the center of my G3 skins after a reglueing made them super-tacky, and it helped a lot. A plus of this trick is that, as the glue fades, you can remove the tape (messy) and re-expose more sticky surface.

It's better to be tacky than slippery!

Don't forget the bi-fold method. -From way back before shaped skis.
Oh, the good ol' days.
