There is a childrens book called Snowflake Bentley which my daughter recently borrowed from the library and we enjoyed reading together. Everyone thought he was a kook; he was ahead of his time. Classic, eh?

I liked the combination of both the subject matter and the lesson that a leader is not necessarily doing something that everyone else understands. Kind of the Horton Hears a Who of snow research.
