Living up on Snoqualmie Pass I hear jets buzzing through gold creek quite a bit in the summer (it is not uncommon) but not so much in the winter months.

That is an awesome pic of it too... Is that the F-22??? Can't make it out fully. I love seeing those things hauling ass going "map of the earth"!


The F-22 looks quite different. Looks like an F/A-18 to me, one of my favorite military aircraft. In which case it must be the EA-18G Growler variant, which is actually based at Whidbey Island NAS. Certainly the coolest (and one of the fastest) electronic warfare aircraft ever built.

Saw that from Stevens pass that day. They were really pushing legal altitude weaving down the valley, which made it a blast to watch.

FWIW, the north facing treed slopes behind the jet are kind of fun. I rode off of 5576 on my dog last winter.
