AT&T Wireless Crystal Lame, Lame

It's not the mountain's fault.
AT&T has been very reliable in the past at Crystal. I don't know if anyone else is having difficulties with AT&T, but their cell coverage at Crystal is not working very reliably. I went the whole weekend without cell coverage up there, but it would come on for a blink them go back down again. Even though Verizon reception is limited at my house, I think that I may have to use that carrier to get to use my phone reliably on the mountain.

Yeah it's been down almost every day this season.

I mentioned it to John a week or so ago and he seemed genuinely interested/concerned, was going to look into it.

What carrier was Mark Callaghan using last year when he phoned from his avalanche?

I contacted AT&T and they were real friendly.
They are clueless though on the whole Crystal zip code is the same as Enumclaw zip code and that yeah it's working at 98022, but they are 40 miles away from the problem. Did not expect that a person sitting in Iowa would know that. Heck a person sitting in Enumclaw may not know that.
They say that they knew the tower was down on the 11th and 12th but no other days. Well today is another day.

I would say that since AT&T still drops calls in downtown Seattle that you might want to try a different carrier. By the way.....Verizon has 4G in Seattle and Bellevue. I have been with VZ for several years and will never switch. Unprecedented coverage in the boonies. Hope this helps. My friends that ski at Crystal use VZ and are capable of sending pics and vids while on the chairs.

Until this season AT&T has worked excellently at Crystal and the near BC from the repeater on Grubstake. On a couple of days all service regardless of carrier has been down

So rather than toss a perfectly good iphone we're hoping that someone will fix what hopefully is a simple problem.

I had the same issue over the weekend but it only seemed that way at the base and in the parking lot. On the mountain seemed ok. I didn't notice the same issue today when I was there.
