I wasn't originally going to be around Seattle for New Years but plans changed. Trying to put together late plans with some friends. can anyone suggest good cabins, yurts, places to stay for rent? private, state park (there seems to be many options that are still unbooked, but perhaps wintertime experience is lousy?), whatever. Doesn't need to be in ski territory but never hurts. Just looking for place to get together and have some fun with a few friends. maybe even begin holding my resolution to ski more every year. thanks so much

Scottish Lakes High Camp outside of Leavenworth is a GREAT place. Unluckily they are booked well in advance for New Years.

I've spent about 40 days up there so far.

I've always wondered what Stehekin would be like in the winter.  It should have amazing access to some really remote stuff if they have some snowmobiles available for hire/rent.  Talk about a place to party like it's 1899...
