Thank you for your heads-up on this, I was able to show my kids their first lunar eclipse. We were camped at the snopark below Bluewood and I was dropping the dogs out of their boxes at 2:00 a.m. The sky was completely clear up there and the eclipse was about 40%.

Yeah Travertine, I get the Aurora alerts as well. Glad you dig it...I think to see them decently down here, we need at least a 5 or higher on the index (even though it says 4, I think the mountains block our horizon view from what I've tried to view).
As for the lunar eclipse, we watched it through high level clouds in Tacoma. Pretty awesome. Supposedly the lunar eclipse on the winter soltice hasn't happened since 1691? Next occurance is 2095? Now where'd I put that spell for immortality...
