I'd like to reiterate what Zap said. Great story about a not-often visited corner of the earth, providing a brief window into a foreign culture, and focusing on the realities of any expedition.

I missed the food and beverage portion, but it sure smelled great.

Yeah, it was a fun night. Jamie's trip sounds like some of the ones I've been on, with the difficulties multiplied many times over . . .

Guess I'll have to buy some more Dynafit stuff this year!

Thanks to everyone that came to the presentation! We have had a lot of great comments and feedback, which is very much appreciated. Folks seem to have a good time at the event and enjoyed the show. We will have to work on organizing more of these get togethers.

The slideshow also really made us appreciate what we have right here in our own backyard. It took these guys 40 days to make one ski run, and we have countless amazing trips that we can do right here in Washington with a relatively short drive and a mere 1-3 days of our time.

Thanks again to Jamie for putting on the slideshow, and to Paul and Keith with the Dynafit crew for providing all of the refreshments...good times.

Also, thanks to Don Langlois from Ridge Explorations for coming to the show and making himself available to answer questions about avalanche education and safety. With the weather forecasters currently predicting a big winter, we hope that everyone is thinking about expanding on their Avalanche Awareness education and knowledge while they are waxing up their skis by brushing up on their snow safety and winter travel skills.

I don't know about you, but I am ready to ski some powder!

- Cheers, David May
