I like Urea Bug better= an STD like gonorrhea or syphilis.... that's  a much better simile to him than a bag o' piss although he is both.

"Superintendent Urea Bug's management of MRNP has been like an attack of syphilis."...... It's much more descriptive.

The NPS tends to be inward looking and unresponsive to the public. There is an easy and effective solution. Mt. Rainier NP should have a formal advisory committee made up of all stakeholders who want to participate. Not only should the concessionaires and National Parks Conservation Association (among others) be the ones consulted (as they are now), all consultations should be public and special interests should be moderated by an advisory committee--members from the Mountaineers, the climbing community, the TAY community, local residents, local businesses, etc.. The membership composition should be determined thru one or more wide-open meetings using modern group facilitation techniques. A committee of 8-12 representatives would be workable and subcommittees could be used to advise and report back on everything from fees to stimulating vegetative succession on rapidly exposed moraines. The Park would benefit greatly from such sunshine. Every National Forest in the Region has such an advisory committee now. Public input and review is required by law; the Park assumes it can avoid rigorous review and input thru having a community outreach coordinator, but informing communities of place does not automatically incorporate communities of interest or even provide effective 2-way communication (how much stops with the coordinator?).
